Torrance County Animal Services Department is accepting applications for (1) Full-time Animal Control Officer.  $10.00 - $12.00 per hour DOE. Torrance County is accepting applications for the position of a full-time Appraiser Apprentice in the Assessor’s Office; $11.25 per hour. The Appraiser Apprentice will shadow certified appraisers for a minimum of six months. After successful training and evaluation, Appraiser Apprentice will be assigned accounts. Qualifications are as follows: Must be 18 years or older with a valid NM Driver’s License.  High School Diploma or GED required. Two (2) years of full-time administrative and/or customer service work experience. Must complete International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) course work which consists of four (4) classes. Must successfully complete the IAAO certification process to become a certified appraiser. Experience in agriculture practices, real estate, surveying methods preferred. Ability to understand and communicate in English. Bilingual preferred.

Torrance County is accepting applications for part-time Float Clerk,  $9.00 per hour. Must be 18 years or older with a valid NM Driver’s License.  High School Diploma or GED required. The Float Clerk acts as a substitute office clerk when coverage is needed in any of the County Administrative Offices. Employee may be required to work 40 hours per week, or may work as little as 0 hours per week, as scheduling allows. Employee is not guaranteed to work consecutive days or hours.
