Torrance County is accepting applications for a full-time Human Resources Director, salary range $31,200 -$41,600 DOE. This position oversees all Human Resource functions, including recruitment and employment, compensation and benefits, personnel records management, training and development, performance development and evaluation programs. Direct experience of public sector employment policies and procedures preferred; Must be 18 years or older with a valid NM Driver’s License. High School Diploma or GED required. Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screen. Graduation from college with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration or a related field; a Master’s Degree and PHR or SPHR Certification or equivalent is preferred; or four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience related to the management of human resources, including but not limited to, recruiting and selection activities, benefit program administration and records management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 Torrance County is accepting applications for 1 part-time Home Visitor. This position will be 19 hours or less per week at $14 - $15 per hour DOE. The Home Visitor provides in-home visiting through the Torrance County Project Office, Home Visiting Program. The population served begins as early as during pregnancy and service is provided until a child reaches age 3. Travel will be required and mileage directly related to a home visit and training reimbursed. This is a grant funded position and the funding is secured through June 30, 2018. Knowledge of family health systems and social services in rural New Mexico is helpful.
Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Studies or Social Services preferred. Two years experience working with children and families in a rural setting will substitute for two years of college. Non-degreed personnel (or personnel in non-related field degree program) must obtain the Infant Family Studies Certificate within two years of hire and complete Parents As Teachers Foundational and Model Implementation Training. Early Childhood work experience and knowledge of infant mental health desired. Reliable personal transportation and vehicle insurance required. Knowledge of computers and use of data base applications required. Strong oral and written communication skills required. Ability to work with persons of diverse ethnic, gender and socioeconomic backgrounds with cultural competency and sensitivity. Must be 18 years or older with a valid NM driver's license.

Torrance County is accepting applications for part-time Float Clerk,  $9.00 per hour. Must be 18 years or older with a valid NM Driver’s License.  High School Diploma or GED required. The Float Clerk acts as a substitute office clerk when coverage is needed in any of the County Administrative Offices. Employee may be required to work 40 hours per week, or may work as little as 0 hours per week, as scheduling allows. Employee is not guaranteed to work consecutive days or hours.
